General Body Meeting 2008

The general Body Meeting of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) for the year 2008 was held on 29^th June, at Cochin .

AMMA will extend the financial assistance scheme by the name “Kaineettam” to seven more members. Now the total beneficiaries have become 54. The total amount of 2000 rupees has been increased to 2500 rupees. Actress Nilambur Aisha was awarded with honorary membership. This was declared in the annual general body meeting held at Hotel Abad Plaza .  

A suggestion was put forward by members to change AMMA to a trade union as now it is working as a charitable trust. The final decision upon this will be taken after seeking legal advice. It was also decided not to take any kind of disciplinary action against Veteran actor Thilakan. The meeting was led by Association president Mr. Innocent.
