Thodupuzha Vasanthi (1952- November 28, 2017) was a South Indian actress who acted mainly in Malayalam films. Thodupuzha Vasanthy (65) is no more. Being under treatment for cancer, she took her last breath at her house in Thodupuzha. She has acted in over 450 movies in Malayalam.
She entered the film industry with an impressive dance performance for the movie Udayayude Dharmakshetra Kurukshetra. It was only in the movie EnteNeelaakasham that she received a prominent role. Her character of Janaki in the movie Alolam (1982) made her a star. Her last movie was in the year 2016, IthuThanda Police.
She has acted in over 16 television serials as well as over 100 movies. She had received the State Award for her performances in the theatre. She had also received the Film Critics Award.
Her final rites would take place by today evening at her house premises itself.

Malayalam actor and a great theatre personality, took his last breath today at his residence in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Reportedly, the 67 year old actor was unwell for a couple of years and succumbed to age-related illness. It’s even said that he was under treatment for Alzheimer's disease.
