The most promising star of Malayalam movies, Unni Mukundan made his place in the industry with the hit movie Mallu Singh (2012). His debut movie was actually the Tamil movie Seedan (2011), which is the remake of the 2002 movie Nandanam.

Personal Life

Unnikrishnan Mukundan Nair aka Unni Mukundan, was born on 22 September 1987 to Mukundan Nair and Roji Mukundan. He was born in Thrissur, Kerala and brought up in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He also has a elder sister named Karthika Mukundan.

Early Life

He did his schooling from the Pragati English Medium School, Ahmedabad. In the year 2014, he joined a famous college in Thrissur to pursue BA in Journalism.

Film Career

Unni Mukundan started his acting career with the Tamil remake of Nandanam, Seedan. His first Malayalam movie was Bombay March 12 (2011),alongside Mammootty and directed by Babu Janardhanan. He then acted in many other movies like Bangkok Summer (2011), Thalsamayam Oru Penkutty (2012), Mallu Singh (2012), Theevram (2012), Ezham Suryan (2012), I Love Me (2012), The Hit List (2012), Ithu Pathiramanal (2013), Orissa (2013), D Company (2013), The Last Supper (2014), Vikramadithyan (2014), RajadhiRaja (2014), Fireman (2015), Samrajyam II: Son of Alexander (2015), Oru Vadakkan Selfie (2015), KL 10 Patthu (2015), Style (2016), Kaattum Mazhayum (2016), Oru Murai Vanthu Parthaya (2016), Janatha Garage (2016;Telugu), Achayans (2017), Avarude Raavukal (2017), Clint (2017), Tharangam (2017), Masterpiece (2017), Bhaagamathie (2018;Tamil & Telugu). His upcoming projects for the year 2018 includes Kozhi Thakachan, Ira & Chanakya Thanthram.

He made his mark as a singer and a lyricist with the song ‘Anuragam Puthu Mazha Pole’ from the movie Achayans.
