He is dominated as president of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA: 2000-2018). He achieved several awards including state film awards, filmfare awards and others. By the support of Left Democratic Party (LDF) he figured his own mark in Lok sabha elections (2014) as an independent candidate from Chalakkudy constituency.
In 1972, he began his film career with the movie ‘Nrityashala’. His figuration and the

audience acknowledged his serious and comedy roles. He died on Mrach 26, 2023. ‘Pachuvum

National Award-winning actor Nedumudi Venu died at the age of 73 at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. He had been in a critical condition for some time due to liver-related ailments.
