Ambika has acted in a number of South Indian films. This 5 foot 9 inch tall actress started her career with the Malayalam movie Mamangam in 1979. Within a couple of years she became a sought after actress not only in Malayalam, but also in Tamil and Kannada as well. Her sister Radha is also an actress.
National Award-winning actor Nedumudi Venu died at the age of 73 at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. He had been in a critical condition for some time due to liver-related ailments.
