Lal is basically a director, who later changed to be a very promising actor in the Malayalam movie industry. Though his debut appearance was in 'Manathe Kottaram' as a guest artist. people always remember his debut movie as 'Kaliyattam'. For his brilliant performances Lal has won Kerala State Award twice and Special mention in National Film Awards.
National Award-winning actor Nedumudi Venu died at the age of 73 at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. He had been in a critical condition for some time due to liver-related ailments.
