With his typical Kozhikode slang and unique appearance, Mamukoya is one of the favourite actors of the Malayalam movie industry. Mamukoya has started as theatre artist and later entered into the movie industry in late 1970's. He has enacted in more than 450 films and for his performance in 'Perumazhakalam', Mamukoya recieved Kerala State Special Jury Award. He was also selected as Best Comedy Actor for the movie 'Innathe Chinthavishayam'.
National Award-winning actor Nedumudi Venu died at the age of 73 at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. He had been in a critical condition for some time due to liver-related ailments.
