Manikuttan was introduced into the Malayalam movie industry by director Vinayan with the movie 'Boyfriend'. Before that, he was well known for his performance as the title role in the teleserial 'Kayamkulam Kochunni'. He later appeared in supporting roles in the movies like Kalabham, Chotta Mumbai, Passenger, Elsamma Enna Aankutty etc.
National Award-winning actor Nedumudi Venu died at the age of 73 at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. He had been in a critical condition for some time due to liver-related ailments.
