Priyamani was introduced to the Malayalam movie industry by director Vinayan in the movie 'Sathyam'. She was well noticed for her performance in the movie 'Thirakatha'. Apart from Malayalm movies, she is also active in Tamil, Kannada and Telugu industry. For her performance in the Tamil movie 'Paruthiveeran', she got National Award for Best Actress.
National Award-winning actor Nedumudi Venu died at the age of 73 at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. He had been in a critical condition for some time due to liver-related ailments.
