The announcement of SG 250 by Mulakuppadam Films started off a big controversy.
For those who are still wondering what SG 250 is, that stands for Suresh Gopi 250. The project announced on Suresh Gopi’s birthday was the 250th movie of the hero and was based on a real-life Pala based planter, Kaduvakkunnel Kuruvachan.
Soon after the announcement came, writer Jinu Abraham took legal measures claiming that the rights to make a movie based on the life of the planter was with him, as he had already announced Kaduva, with Prithviraj in the lead.
When it was believed that the controversy was over, producer Tomichan Mulakuppadam has announced that there is the biggest title announcement ever in Mollywood, coming at 6pm today. And he writes, “with the same script, cast and crew.”
