The pooja of Meppadiyan, directed by Vishnu Mohan, was held on Vijayadashami day.
Meppadiyan marks the entry of Unni Mukundan, who plays the hero, as a producer. In an interview with The Hindu, Unni had said that Meppadiyan is about an event that occurs in the life of a normal youth and how he fights to maintain certain ethics.
The cast includes Indrans, Saiju Kurup, Anju Kurian and Aju Varghese. Rahul Subramanian is composing the music. Neil D’ Cunha is the cinematographer.
Unni has also announced Bruce Lee, which will be directed by Vysakh.
National Award-winning actor Nedumudi Venu died at the age of 73 at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. He had been in a critical condition for some time due to liver-related ailments.
